Lowell House Pre-Law Calendar for 2023-2024 Application Cycle
Attention to JUNIORS applying to HLS's deferred admission program: Applications to HLS's deferred admission program will not be considered on a rolling basis, and all decisions will be made at roughly the same time in Summer 2024. Pay attention below to whether deadlines apply to SENIORS & ALUMNI or to JUNIORS.
Note that this year, LSAC is offering both a remote and in person LSAT. Think about which option you prefer, keeping in mind that there have been some technical issues with proctoring the remote LSAT and the hassle of logistically getting to the physical testing center. Please check LSAC website for further information on the LSAT.
Aug 31: Registration deadline for October 2023 LSAT
Sep 1: Last day to notify pre-law committee of your intent to apply in the fall cycle (SENIORS and ALUMNI)
Sep 28: Registration deadline for November 2022 LSAT
Oct 13-14: LSAT (last recommended LSAT date for SENIORS and ALUMNI)
Oct 15: Deadline for SENIORS & ALUMNI to submit the first draft of your Personal Statement and Diversity Statement for review and comments by pre-law advisers (submit to your assigned pre-law tutor by email)
Nov 10-11: LSAT (NOT recommended for this year’s applicants, except JUNIORS)
Nov 22: Last day for SENIORS & ALUMNI to receive comments and edits on Personal Statement and Diversity Statement. Recommended application submission date for SENIORS & ALUMNI.
Nov 30: Registration deadline for Jan 2023 LSAT
Dec 26: Registration deadline for Feb 2024 LSAT
Jan 12-13: LSAT
Feb 1: Last day to notify pre-law committee of your intent to apply for Junior Deferral Program (JUNIORS)
Feb 29: Registration deadline for April 2024 LSAT
Mar 1: Deadline for JUNIORS to submit draft Personal Statement/Diversity Statement for review and comments by adviser
Mar 2: Application for HLS JUNIOR DEFERRAL PROGRAM goes live (expected)
April 23: Registration deadline for June 2024 LSAT (last LSAT accepted for junior deferral program)
July 1: Deadline for JUNIORS to submit applications to HLS (expected).
July-August: Summer LSATs; dates for tests and registration TBA
