Eating meals in Lowell House
The Dining Hall is open seven days a week. Groups of students and tutors may invite academic guests to meals for courses. Please read carefully the rules below regarding guest dining:
If the guest is a Harvard professor, lecturer, or TF, please have them sign the guest book with the crimson shield at the checker’s desk. This crimson book is expressly for professors and TFs, and they will need to print clearly their name and title.
- Non-academic guests need to pay the HUDS rate at the checker’s desk for each meal.
- Tutors and other SCR members may purchase subsidized meal “chits” ahead of time from the House Office to use for their personal guests, or they can sign in the blue guest book. They must print clearly their name, sponsor name and ID number.
- Study tables and groups that involve grad students who are not TFs at Harvard University must obtain permission ahead of time from Beth in the House Office (5-2283) or pay the HUDS meal fee at the door.
