Walter Isaacson
Currently a professor of History at Tulane, I have been chairman and CEO of CNN and editor of TIME magazine. I have authored several bestselling biographies, including Leonardo da Vinci (Oct 2017) and Steve Jobs (2011). I am a graduate of Harvard College and of Pembroke College of Oxford University, where I was a Rhodes Scholar. Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, and vice chair of the Louisiana Recovery Authority from 2005 to 2007, I am chair emeritus of Teach for America and I serve on the boards of United Airlines, Tulane University, the New Orleans City Planning Commission, Rockefeller Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Society of American Historians, the Carnegie Institution for Science, and My Brother’s Keeper Alliance. I am currently a host of the show “Amanpour and Company” on PBS and CNN, as well as, an advisory partner at the financial firm Perella Weinberg.
