I have painted over twenty-five portraits now hanging at Harvard; three of those are on the walls of Lowell House. The latest hangs in the Lowell DH and is a portrait of former Lowell Faculty Deans, Diana Eck and Dorothy Austin. I am Lowell House/Harvard ’71 in Computer Science, HBS MBA ’77, and I spent a long, productive career in technology, marketing management, and finally venture capital. In 1996, I left business entirely to become a painter. I will be away several months this year while my wife is on sabbatical; however, I will remain active in Lowell activities, especially with Lowell Speeches, the Lowell House Opera, and teaching house workshops in art and drawing. I would be delighted to discuss the arts, career planning, entrepreneurship, personal risk-taking, and making tough life choices. Feel free to get in touch anytime.
