Sophia Yin

Hi Lowell! I’m a third-year medical student at HMS, and I’m so excited to join the Lowell community. I was born near Philadelphia but grew up near Indianapolis. I went to Yale, where I studied psychology and neuroscience, and after graduation, I went straight through to medical school. In terms of specialty, I’m still debating but most likely will be going into ob/gyn or general surgery. I’m also interested in bioethics, health policy, and medical education. I love mentoring students, and I’m so excited to meet you all soon! Outside of medicine, I love to sing, dance, cook, and bake. I also love traveling and trying out new restaurants – both of which have been a little difficult to do recently. As the weather warms up again and places reopen, I’m excited to explore Boston and would always love to meet up and chat over a latte.
