Sarah Amo

I’m an Edward S. Mason Fellow and Mid-Career Master in Public Administration candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School, originally from Ghana. Before Harvard, I spent nearly two decades working across strategy, operations, organizational transformation, and entrepreneurship, including almost a decade with GE across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. I’m especially interested in leadership, economic development, and how good ideas become real-world impact. Outside of school and work, I practice Shotokan karate, teach yoga and meditation, and am devoted to four very large dogs back home in Ghana. I’ve also recently developed a newfound enthusiasm for boba tea, despite having once lived in Shanghai without ever trying it. I’m always happy to talk with students about nonlinear careers, entrepreneurship, working across cultures, Africa, or simply figuring out what comes next.
