Non-resident Tutor
Resident, BIDMC

Hi Lowell! I'm Rutvij, an Internal Medicine resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. I grew up in Mumbai and Dubai and came to the US for college in 2012. I studied Political Science and Economics at Northwestern, then worked as a healthcare consultant, before completing my MPH at the Harvard Chan School and my MD at Mount Sinai. My clinical interests are in hematology/oncology, and my research interests are in health policy and healthcare delivery, with a focus on cancer care in low-resource settings.

Please reach out if you would like to talk about non-linear paths as a pre-med, applying as an international student, careers in public policy or healthcare consulting, or anything else that is on your mind. Outside of medicine, I write about sports, politics, and the places I have lived, and I enjoy visiting national parks, watching Test cricket and soccer, and learning about Indian history. I am also a good source for coffee shop recommendations in Cambridge and Boston.
