Robb Moss

Professor of Art, Film, and Visual Studies

I am a documentary filmmaker, professor and current chair of the Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies. My films can be about topics, Secrecy (2008), about government secrecy, national security and democracy, or Containment (broadcast in 2017) about where to put our nuclear waste so it does not contaminate the future, but they can also be more personal. I am currently working on a film that follows five friends over forty years. The film moves from their youth, to their middle-age, to what might be called old age. The film will bounce back and forth between time frames, seeking ways to make time-portraits of the five characters.
