MD Candidate, Harvard Medical School

Hello! My name is Rincon Jagarlamudi, and I am a first-year medical student at Harvard Medical School from St. Louis, Missouri. I went to Vanderbilt University where I studied Biochemistry and Chemical Biology. As an undergraduate, I worked a lot in the education space. I launched the flagship ambassador program for Hip Hop Public Health, an innovative health education program that uses hip hop music and culture to bring health literacy to young people. Additionally, I led the peer support group for our college’s inclusive higher education program, advocating for and supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they attended college.Despite my short(er) stature, I will jump at any chance to play basketball —or really, any sport you throw at me. I love obsessing about Formula 1 racing and watching races with others. And, I am always up for singing my heart out at karaoke nights, albeit likely out of tune. Otherwise, I also enjoy running, hosting group cooking sessions, or editing videos in my free time.
