Nao Uchida
Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology
I am interested in broad areas of study on how humans and animals make decisions and learn from experiences. In my laboratory, we study the neurobiology of decision-making and reward-based learning (e.g. the dopamine system) using mice. Our research integrates multidisciplinary approaches including molecular biology, neurobiology, psychology, computational neuroscience and artificial intelligence. I was born and grew up in Japan. Outside lab, I like watching birds and animals, fishing, hiking, and cooking.
