I'm an applied microeconomist studying competition and policy in U.S. healthcare markets. I am a faculty member at HBS and HKS and teach courses on both campuses. I not only lived in Lowell, I married a Lowellian from my class! We left the Boston area for a long while - after earning my PhD from MIT, I was on faculty at Northwestern for 14 years - but we have been back since 2016. For any law & econ buffs out there: I served as Deputy Director for Health Care and Antitrust at the Federal Trade Commission, and still engage regularly with the antitrust economics scene.
