Lauren Williams

Dwight Parker Robinson Professor of Mathematics

I grew up in California, and attended Harvard College, where I studied math and played violin in the HRO. After college I spent a year at the other Cambridge (UK), then got my PhD at MIT. I had postdoctoral appointments at Berkeley and Harvard, then joined the UC Berkeley faculty in 2009. Since 2018 I've been a professor in the Harvard Math Department as well as the Seaver Professor at Radcliffe. My research area is algebraic combinatorics and its interactions with geometry and physics. I don't have much free time these days (kids!) but I try to play chamber music and go running when I can.
