Karen Dynan

I joined the Harvard Economics Department in 2017. Before that, I worked in government, most recently as an Assistant Secretary at the Treasury Department during the Obama Administration. I am passionate about the difference that good economic policy can make in people’s lives, so please reach out to me if you want to talk about that or hear about the rewards of public service generally. With my husband an economist as well, there is a lot of wonky talk around our house. But, we also love to travel, hike, and run at Fresh Pond with our dog. I am thrilled to be part of the Lowell House community!
