Janet Parker Whitla

I believe that learning is the liberating force in human development, and have been privileged to have a career that supports this goal. I retired more than a decade ago after 25 years as President/CEO of Education Development Center, a non-profit organization working throughout the world to promote education, health and community development. Now I serve enthusiastically on arts and education non-profit Boards, enjoy speaking and writing on leadership, and continue to write poetry. I also enjoy swimming, kayaking and other water sports.
