Isaac Hung

Welcome! I’m excited to be returning as a Resident Pre-Careers and Fellowships Tutor at Lowell. I recently completed my MBA at Harvard Business School and am now a fourth-year medical student at the UCI School of Medicine, applying to residency in anesthesiology.

I’m a proud Lowell House alumnus and graduated from Harvard with a concentration in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. After college, I spent three years at Bain & Company, where I developed an interest in the intersection of business and healthcare. Since then, my work has included clinical medicine, healthcare strategy, policy and advocacy, research, and digital health.

At Lowell, I’m happy to advise students on fellowships, career exploration, premedical preparation, internships, graduate school, gap years, and other academic or professional transitions. Whether you have a clear plan or are still figuring things out, I’m always glad to be a sounding board.

On a more personal level, I enjoy thinking deeply about how we build meaningful lives and spend our time purposefully. I especially value long conversations about what energizes you, where you find a sense of purpose, and how asking better questions can broaden and deepen your understanding of yourself and the world around you. I hope to learn as much from you as I do to share what I’ve learned from my own experiences.

Outside of work, I enjoy bouldering, rock climbing, yoga, and traveling. I’m always happy to exchange travel recommendations or hear about a destination I should add to my list.
