Professor of the History of Science
Faculty Director, Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments
I am an assistant professor in the Department of the History of Science. My research focuses on the scientific culture of early modern Europe between 1450 and 1700, and I’m writing books about science and religious censorship, Galileo, and longevity during the Renaissance. When I’m not reading and writing about early modern scientific texts, I enjoy hiking, cycling, contemporary fiction, and exploring Cambridge and Boston by bicycle with my husband and our three year old.
