Doug Elmendorf
Lucius N. Littauer Professor of Public Policy
Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor
I’m an economist, and after receiving my PhD from Harvard, I’ve spent most of my career in Washington, DC, working on a range of economic policy issues in different parts of the U.S. government. In 2015 I had an unexpected opportunity to become Dean of Harvard Kennedy School. My wife is an economist and is also on the Harvard faculty now; we love living in Cambridge with our dog Freya and (sometimes) our 24-year-old twin daughters, Caroline and Laura. I am a new member of the Lowell Senior Common Room and look forward to meeting members of the Lowell community!
