Hi Lowell! I'm a research fellow at the new Kempner Institute working on machine learning / AI. I've worked on reinforcement learning, robotics, and ML theory, but now I am mostly focused on understanding and improving language models. Before coming to Harvard, in reverse chronological order, I did my PhD in computer science at the Courant Institute at NYU, undergrad at Yale, and grew up near Chicago.
