Samuel C. Moncher Professor of Physics and of Astronomy
I’m a Professor of both physics and astronomy here at Harvard. I remain in a profound state of confusion regarding dark matter and dark energy, the primary constituents of the Universe. Lately I’ve been working on getting the Large Synoptic Survey up and running. This is a large optical telescope that is currently being built in Chile. We’ll use it to scan the sky for everything from killer asteroids to cosmic explosions half-way across the Universe.
