Hello Lowellians! I’m Chance, originally from Minnesota and now a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Humanities at Tufts University. I recently finished my PhD at Harvard in Religion and work on topics like ancient Mediterranean religions, slavery and labor, and who counts as an "author." This year, I'll be supporting our music and Lowell Speeches programs, as well as participating in our anarchist social theory reading group. I’m here to talk all things history, languages, religions, museums, being an FGLI and/or queer student, publishing houses, cats, and the humanities broadly. Outside of work, I sing in local choirs, cross stitch, forage, attempt to relearn the clarinet, and watch bad TV. I live and work with my partner Anca and our two cats, Sophia and Lilith.
