Benjamin T. Rossen

Lowell House Opera Executive Director

In service of Lowell House Opera, I am incredibly blessed to advance its mission as Executive Director. I graduated from Harvard College ‘23 in three years with a double concentration in Economics and Music. Presented to the Music Department, my senior thesis introduces a novel methodology of “critical industry studies” to evaluate how audiences conceive their musical preferences. As a candidate of the Harvard / New England Conservatory Dual Degree Program, I will complete my master’s in Piano Performance in 2024. During my time at Harvard, I directed Harvard College Opera and the Harvard Ballet Company for their 30th anniversaries. For the latter, I founded the Harvard Ballet Orchestra – the musical arm of the Company designed to complement original student choreography with large-scale repertoire. I look forward to channeling my passion for the performing arts – and the broader music industry – into my work with LHO!
