Hello friends! My name is Andrew Castillo, and I grew up in LA county in the city of Norwalk, CA. Over my time at Harvard ('21), I was deeply involved with house life as Lowell House Committee Co-Chair and can confidently say Lowell House is in fact the best house! Outside of Lowell, I researched neurodegenerative disease in the Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology and was involved with peer mentoring in the pre-med and research communities on campus, especially focused on FGLI advising. I am now pursuing my MD/PhD at HMS. My research is focused on inflammatory memory, epigenetics and gene regulation, and I would describe myself as Heme-Onc curious.
