Akila Muthukumar

Hi Lowell! I’m a third-year student at HMS, and excited to be back as a Lowell tutor! I call Dallas, Texas home. In college, I concentrated in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with an English secondary. I was also lucky enough to be in Lowell House! Outside of class, I wrote for Fifteen Minutes (the best Crimson board!), studied zebrafish behavior, and discovered the joys of backstage theater. After college, I lived in a group home for people with intellectual disabilities on a farm in India. I’m always happy to talk about my interests, gap years, medical school, or anything else on your mind. I enjoy breakfast foods at all hours, board games, binge-watching comedy shows, bad puns, book recs, and amateur running all around Boston! I look forward to hosting great wellness study breaks and getting to know you all!
