I received a BA in Economics from Harvard College in 1991, and an MD from Harvard Medical School in 2000. My background is admittedly eclectic, I will lay it out there in case some of it is relevant to your interests. After college I worked in the pharmaceutical industry (SmithKline Beecham) for a few years, then worked in an RNA Splicing lab at Harvard Medical School, then got my MD degree. After medical school, I followed an untraditional pathway into in venture capital, investing in early stage biotechnology companies. Later I co-founded and managed a public equity fund focused in the life sciences. Continuing the trend away from my scientific roots, I now play a senior role at a commercial real estate company (which was founded by my father in 1959). I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Cambridge Trust Company and the Mount Auburn Hospital, and on the Advisory Board of the McCance Center for Brain Health. I played varsity tennis at Harvard and now I am an avid cyclist. I live and work near Cambridge. Please feel free to contact me if you think I can be helpful.
