I grew up in coastal Maine and graduated from the College (Winthrop House) in 2003. I then graduated from Harvard Medical School in 2009 after taking two years to teach fifth grade along the Texas/Mexico border through Teach for America. I completed my residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology followed by fellowship in advanced cardiovascular imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, and then joined the faculty of MGH/HMS in 2016.
