Originally from Ohio, I have lived in the Boston area for 30 years and came to Harvard in 2016 after nearly three decades in higher education here in Boston working with students at Boston College, MIT, and Tufts University. As University Marshal, my job is to receive high-level guests, including foreign dignitaries and heads of state, coordinate with faculty and administrators from across the University to organize diplomatic and academic delegations, and collaborate with the Office of the President on university events such as Commencement. Prior to being University Marshal, I served as Chief of Staff for President Gay, and before that as Dean of Students at the College.
