I’m originally from New Zealand; my interests include jazz piano, Homeric poetry, and Ancient Greek mathematics. I have given lecture/performances at Oxford, Columbia and Paris on the relationship between Homer and jazz improvisation. I teach a course called “Math and the Greeks” at the Harvard Extension School, where we look at how math was done before algebra, trigonometry and logarithms. I also teach Linguistics and Classics at Gordon College, north of Boston. Please feel free to e-mail me if you would like to talk about these or any other topics.
