Hello everyone! I'm Gha, a fourth-year MD/PhD student at Harvard Medical School and a second-year PhD candidate in chemistry at MIT with the Pentelute Group. My research is centered on computationally guided peptide binder design for protein targets. I grew up in Korea but moved to San Diego at the age of 12. But now I've been in Massachusetts for the past eight years, including my undergraduate years where I concentrated in Chemistry and Physics, and my gap year, where I had the opportunity to work at the Framingham Heart Study! Outside the lab, I'm an avid climber, a rock music enthusiast, and deeply committed to addressing social determinants of health, particularly in the realm of affordable housing. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions about pre-med, volunteering opportunities in the Boston area, gap year options, or research. I'm here to help and look forward to connecting with you!
