[Lowell speeches](https://577791.8b.io/) are a historic Lowell tradition in which Lowell students deliver five-minute speeches after dinner in the Dining Hall during the first half of spring term. Each student speaker selects their own topic of personal significance to share with the Lowell community and works with a Lowell Senior Common Room mentor to write and deliver their speech.

Speeches begin at 7:30 PM. 2025 Speeches schedule [**here**](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n8PcJ7VyE3IvvhcGXJdvwe-R_x86c2mmgGdf-hz-THQ/edit?tab=t.0)

Speakers and mentors: please arrive by 7:15 PM. Rehearsals are one week before speeches at 8:00 PM in the Coolidge Room. Polished drafts 750 words or less are due at rehearsals. Each speech night is coordinated by a speeches tutor.
