Info about foreign currency, health insurance, passports, and many more details you have to worry about once you've received funding to go abroad. •The Center for Public Interest Careers at Harvard. Includes descriptions of many of the fellowships for public service mentioned on the List of Fellowships, and more. •Harvard University Institute of Politics. Often offers summer stipends for work with governmental organizations, NGO's, and public interest organizations in the U.S. •The Yale University Fellowships Programs website, which contains a wealth of information on a broad range of national fellowships. •The COS Funding Opportunities searchable database, which contains information about hundreds of thousands of funding opportunities • Live to Learn, an exchange to support students applying for fellowships. Check this site for application suggestions and possibly also essay samples for Truman, British Marshall, Rhodes, Fulbright, Soros, and WH Fellows programs. •Higher Education and Research Opportunities in the United Kingdom (HERO), which provides info about British universities •Research Assessment Exercise (try also: RAE 2001), the official ranking of research output of each department at every major university •The British Council U.S.A., which presents a variety of information for Americans wanting to study in Britain, including a section on finding funding. Nationals of other countries shuld find the British Council page for their countries. •Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, which assesses university departments by teaching quality and student experience Lowell House Fellowships Forms •Request for Recommendation: A cover page to be used for all letters of recommendation that are added to your Lowell House file •Release Form: Allows House tutors and advising committees access to your file as they assist you with fellowship applications •Recommendation Access Form: To be submitted to the House office when you want to retrieve letters from your House file •Budget Planning: A brief guide prepared by OCS to help students who may be unfamiliar with creating project budgets |
