Room Reservations

Online room reservations for fall classes and events in Lowell House has begun. Before reserving a room, please note the following restrictions:

1.All room requests must be submitted at least two weekdays in advance by a Lowell House affiliate (student or SCR member).

2.Use of the Small Dining Room between 6:00-8:00pm requires special permission from House Committee, and requests must be submitted one week in advance. No student groups may schedule weekly meetings during this time.

3.Use of the JCR after 8pm requires special permission from House Committee, and requests must be submitted two weeks in advance. HOCo votes on these special requests at their weekly Monday meeting. No student groups may schedule meetings in the JCR.

4.Use of the Tower requires special permission, and requests must be submitted at least one week in advance. No parties are permitted in the Tower Room.

5.All events that last over four consecutive hours require special permission, and such requests must be submitted one week in advance regardless of the room.

6.No student group may reserve space in Lowell for more than five hours per week without special permission, and requests must be submitted one week in advance.

7.All events after 11:00pm on weekdays and 1:00am on weekends require special permission, and requests must be submitted one week in advance.

8.Reservations for the fall semester 2009 will be accepted after August 24th 2009. No reservations will be accepted before this date.

To reserve a room other than the Dining Hall, do the following:

1.Read the rules to see if you are eligible to reserve the room.

2.Check the schedule to see if the room you want is available at the time you want.

3.If the room is available, fill out the Room Reservation Form below.

If there is no scheduling conflict, and the event is not inappropriate, the room will be reserved. However, to guarantee a response, all room requests must be submitted at least four days in advance. You will receive a response/confirmation by email. In most cases the reservation is confirmed within 48 hours.

The Dining Hall

If you wish to reserve the Dining Hall, please click here. Note that reserving the dining hall requires a different (and more complex) procedure than the other rooms. Please allow three weeks to complete that process.

The Grille


The Grille may be reserved by Lowellians for Lowell House private parties, with prior approval from the Grille Tutor, Resident Dean and the House Committee. Only one Grille party will be approved each weekend. Once approved, hosts must fill out and submit the Grille party forms to the House office the Monday before the event. Failute to submit these forms by the Monday prior to the event means that the event will be disapproved / cancelled. Quiet hours for parties in the Grille are at 1am.

Room rental fees may be required for events at which admission will be charged or for organizations that are not non-profit. Such fees are paid directly to the House Office. Also, a room deposit may be required for events at which food or beverages will be served. Deposits will be returned if the custodial staff reports that the room has been left in good condition.
